CC and Al Jazeera will host a joint day on the first day of a three-day Al Jazeera Forum. Topics to be covered are the use of CC licenses in different fields, including within the White House. Joi Ito, CC Ceo will moderate a debate on “building successful media projects in open networks” featuring, among the others, Eric Steur, CC Creative director, and Mohamed Nananhbay, Al Jazeera Head of New media and responsible for the CC Al Jazeera video repository project.
The event will also host a debate about the achievements and challenges of CC in the Arab world featuring Ziad Maraqa and Rami Olwan (CC Jordan Project Leads), Hala Essalmawi (CC Egypt lead), Nafaa Laaribi (Legal lead for CC Tunisia) and Catharina Maracke (CCi director).
