Reform of Legal Education in Jordan

Legal education in Jordan and the rest of the Arab world is far from developed and so much work needs to be done. This is a piece written by Professor Mohamed Olwan on the future of legal education in Jordan and the rest of the Arab world.

He wrote it for the International Association of Law Schools meeting entitled “Effective Techniques: About other Cultures and Legal Systems” which was held in Montreal, Canada on 30 May 2008.

It will give a good idea of the current legal education in Jordan and how badly it needs to be reformed. I will provide in the future my thoughts on that issue and especially how technologies should play a more major role in enhancing the educational experience for law students in Arab and developing countries.
