Visually Impaired Persons and Accessibility Rights: The Case of UAE

This research explores the accessibility rights of visually impaired persons and persons with print disability in multilateral copyright treaties and evaluates an effective national copyright model that promotes their legitimate and future inspirations to be self- determined citizens.

It examines how copyright law can create unnecessary obstacle that might interfere with accessibility rights for published works for visually impaired persons and persons with print disability. Finally, the research documents how copyright law can be better structured to provide the maximum freedom to visually impaired persons and persons with print disability.
