CI Regional Meeting for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, KL, 5-7 March 2012

I attended the CI regional meeting for Asia- Pacific and the Middle East that was held in Kula Lumpur, Malaysia on 5-7 March 2012 and the Consumers in the Information Society, Access, Fairness and Representation conference that was held also in Kula Lumpur, on 8-9 March 2012.

The meeting and the conference was attended by people from all over the world interested in consumer and intellectual property laws. Many of the attendees were representing their local organizations that defend the interests of consumers in developing countries and emerging economies. I was also a participant of the IP Watch List for 2012 (Jordan) which assesses how an IP law is ranked in terms of Access to Knowledge (A2K). I will post information about the 2012 Report when it is issued in due course.

The conference proceedings is available here  and the presentations are here and here.
